| If the recipe contains salt (and most baking recipes do), I would use unsalted butter. |

I think cream cheese icing goes well with just about anything...I've been known to eat leftover icing straight out of the fridge with a spoon.

| I can't speak to the decorating part, but reading your post, it struck me that if your daughter loves bananas why not make a banana (flavored) cake? I don't know many infants who like coconut. |
