I just wanted to post a quick clarification on the Photo gallery rules about uploading photos with faces.

GOOD Thumbs Up!
It's OK to upload photos of cakes that have photos on them. For example, if you made a cake that had a frosting sheet print out of someone's face. That is OK. That is part of the actual decoration of the cake and is acceptable.

BAD Thumbs Down
It is not OK to upload a photo of say, your nephew blowing out the candles on a cake, unless his face is cropped, or hidden.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

Thanks! Very Happy

You can send Jackie or Heath a private message and they'll remove the photo for you.

Thank you.

I was wondering if a framed picture of my parents on a 50th anniversary cake would have to be blodded out?

Thank you, Lori

No, photos of people that are a part of the cake are allowed, you just can't have photos of your cake with people standing around in the picture.

If you wish to put a photo of yourself on the cake, that would be fine.
If you wish to have yourself standing by the cake, you would then have to blot it out.
Some people have choosen to put a picture of themselves as their avatar, that is up to you to do.
We put these rules in place to protect people on the internet as much as possible.
