I'm working on a two tiered heart cake from Wilton's Romantic Weddings book. It's the one with all the RI flowers around the base (I can post a pic if you all need one.... ) Anyway, my cakes are baked and turned out great and the 8" went together excellent and is crumb coated. The edges are are so crisp and clean. The 12" started out great but as I was laying on the second layer it cracked,.. in two places. It went on great though and I crumb coated it and it looks like nothing happened. Should I continue or should I start over with a second layer for the 12". It will have dowels in the middle to support the 8" on top so I'm not worried about it falling apart, I'm just worried about it in general and what will happen at the reception... HELP!!! Any advice. Will it end up being OK, this is only the second actual wedding cake I've done. Yes they're paying me but it is for a friend. Thanks all!!

I honestly think it would be ok, but if you are too nervous just bake another so you can rest your mind at ease.
