I don't want fire mail back on this one, but I saw the donation results, and was frankly disappointed.
I'm new to this site, and after a month of surfing around, decided it was well worth it to make a monthly contribution to CC. I don't think a $$ amount can be placed on the wealth of information, pictures, friendship, camaraderie, tips, and articles found on this site - the list goes on and on. JMHO, this site is the best I've found.
My family struggles financially just like everyone else's, but people, just give a little. Even the smallest of donations count - give up that $1 candy bar and put your investment here.

I was excited when I opened this post because I expected to see some really great numbers.
Wow, was I disaapointed. How sad. I'm truly upset by the report of falling donation numbers when the numbers of membership continue to increase.
Maybe it's a matter of misunderstanding. Some people may not appreciate the enormous demands put on the system, the owners, and the Admin staff with a website this large...an international, FREE website!
I've seen many references to the "CC family," and I know that the website was created from the hearts of two good people who gave us a place to gather and talk cake. So, I ask myself "Who can say that they have NOT gotten something of value from CC membership?
Isn't it worth $1 a month ? To me it's worth much more than that; however, I feel like I can reasonably afford $10 a month. In reality, some people cannot afford to donate at all (been there), but those of us who can afford to donate should be making up for our fellow decorators.
Please, everyone, let's all give a little to gain a lot.
I am sad to see that too! I have been on here a year and have never donated! I am ashamed of myself. I am going to do it tonight!

Okay.. you guilted me into it... and just because I HAVE learned so very much more from this site than from any other sources combined, and because my 'business' could take off the moment I can get a kitchen inspected and passed, I'll donate. Hopefully, this time next year, I'll be able to donate a ton more, because I'm rolling in 'dough' (grin) from my baking and decorating!
Even if you just donate $1!!! I know you at least have a dollar in change somewhere! That will make up for using your credit card.
I just donated $12...$1 for every month that I've been on here! I don't think that's very much considering the thousands of hours we all spend on here!
