Just read this thread today, even tho I have been a member for several months. I always felt bad that not one person left a message of any kind, good or bad. After this thread I looked up my forum info....sure enough had the comments turned off. Oh boy, do I feel stupid. I do try to leave messages for others because I know for me that is encouragemnt.
Everyone here on this site is soo nice and helpful. I am truely addicted!!

I'm a newbie, been on this website a few months. Today I finally figured out how to download my pictures. I took me a few hours to figure out how to make them smaller, and also how to put a watermark on them. I've been reading that alot of people have had their pics taken and passed off as others peoples work (on other websites). I'm just excited I finally got my pics up.
I have also been decorating cakes since June and I love CC, I do leave comments on every cake I open since I already took time to do it, it only tkes a few seconds, the first comment I got felt so good I just make sure I do it too.

Hi im totally new to cake making and decorating and was scanning the web for some help and found you guys - im hooked and have spent hours already on the site, looking at the wonderful cakes of inspiration and techniques. im going to try making the gumpaste recipe as its my partners mums birthday next week and i want to make her a sex in the city shoe style topper for the cake - wish me luck, if its half decent, i will try and find out how to post the picture. im gonna use a shoe mobile phone holder as the mould and its funny, since ive been on your site, ive seen so many things that i could mould on for toppers - my eyes have been well and truly opened!! my day job is DULL, in a bank and id love to be in a position to run a cake business from home, but im starting small and would love to keep benefiting from all your advice. In in the UK and there doesnt seem to be anything like you guys over here!! hope this note finds someone.............
Boy, I am so sorry that I am late in welcoming all the new members Hope you are enjoying the site and making new cake buddies
Welcome to the CC family

I am a newbie, and never take offense when others do not comment on my cakes. I just get excited period! when other cc'ers view my pics, which shows me something about the cake interested them enough to look at them. My cakes are not perfect (Yet), as I am still learning. I will never be worried about others commenting on my pics. But I will be sure as a courtesy to make comments on the pics that I view.
Great information.

Good idea to post this thread. I dip in and out of the site, and there is so much to look at, you really couldn't comment on them all, but that is not to say that all photos posted are not appreciated.
If someone comments on my photos, I think that they have been incredibly considerate in taking the time to do that when looking through such vast numbers of pics.
