Bronwen Weber was on Sugar Rush (I think--she's so popular nowadays) and she filled her cupcakes with a gooey caramel sauce. Does anyone happen to know a recipe for something like that? I would love to try it.

Recently I was in need of a caramel sauce. While in the produce section of the market, I saw a container of caramel, package for dipping apples slices. I purchase it, and it worked great. The flavor was good also.

Here is one from Land O' Lakes.....I haven't tried it, but I bet it's good!

CARAMEL SILK
>
The silky smooth butter sauce is perfect for ice cream, cakes and
desserts.

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

2/3 cups Butter

1 1/3 cups Heavy Whipping Cream

Combine all ingredients except whipping cream in 3-quart heavy
saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a full boil (15 to 20 minutes). Stir in whipping cream; continue cooking 1 minute. Cool completely !

Tip: I have learned to cool things quickly fill the sink with cold water (just enough to be able to put the pot you are using in without it floating)..... add ice. Place the pot in the sink and stir occasionally. HTH
