I wanted to make a marble cake, but I wanted the white part to be WASC. Is there some way I can just add cocoa powder or semisweet chocolate to half of the already mixed WASC batter to make it chocolate? Thanks!!

I think cocoa powder would be a better choice, as it has a more "chocolatey" flavor, maybe 3 tbsp to a third of the recipe. I'm not familiar with WASC but I do add cocoa powder to my yellow cake recipe to make marble, so I guess it may work for WASC.
Sorry if I'm not much help! Maybe one of the WASC experts will come along to help you out with this one! Smile

What is a WASC? I keep seeing it, but have no idea what it is. Thanks!

Thanks! I added cocoa powder 3 tbsp cocoa powder to 2 cups batter. While not a strong chocolate flavor, it worked well enough for my purposes. Smile

I use WASC for EVERYTHING. My favorite way to turn it into choc. is easy. I take squares of semi sweet baking choc. and break them into a bowl. I squirt some choc. syrup on top of them. I put them in the microwave for a min. or two (depending on how much you are doing, you just want it to melt). When it is melted I stir it all up and then dump it into my regular WASC mix. it takes a few min. for all the choc. to get incorporated, but it is SOOO good.

I just use a chocolate cake mix instead of the white in the WASC and add about 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup.
