This is what my client has requested...
I'm wanting to have cookies that look like the logo of our basset hound rescue group as favors for my wedding - with a card attached stating that a donation was made in their name to rescue. I'm going to need about 300. The wedding is Aug. 2.
I've never sold my cookies before and with the extra work she wants done I'm not sure how to price them. I know that talking about pricing lately has been a no-no, but I really have no clue! Ideas would be greatly appreciated! I'll add a picture of the logo ASAP. |

Can you do small edible images of the logo to attach to the cookie? I would also ask the bride when SHE is going to have the cards done, and if she is going to attach them to the cookies, or if she wants to pay you to attach them. |

OK, she said that her bridesmaids are going to help her attach the cards. I hope she's buying them a nice gift for that crap job they'll be doing for her! 
Oh, and I don't have edible image "capabilities" at this time. lol |

Thank you, but I would have to order the cookies from them too, right? Not just the images. The client wants me to do the baking. Maybe I'm not reading the site correctly.

Does she want the cookies in the shape of the dogs or does she want the logo on the cookies? It was unclear in her request. If she just wants the shape, maybe you could find a basset hound cookie cutter. |

OK, I got the price from Veronica's Treat and for what I would need the cost would be $0.75 each for a 4" rectangle. That's $225 just for the image. Would I charge her just the $225 + my fee for the cookies themselves (of which I still don't know how to price) or do people tack on an additional fee for applying the images, as well? |

If you were paying an employee to apply these images, wouldn't that be part of the cost of production? Take ALL costs into consideration .... not just the cost of materials. |
