I am making a cake for my son's birthday and I need a nice intense grass green icing. I have used the Wilton paste coloring (in the little plastic jars), but it doesn't ever seem to get very dark. Do I need to use more, or is there something better to get darker colors? Thank Youfor your help!!
If you can get your hands on Americolor or Magic Line, you won't have to use as much and they give nice color. Something else, icing will darken over time after it's colored. So if you can mix your color and let it sit for a couple of hours and then if it's still not as intense as you'd like, add a bit more color.

If you are wanting it to get darker I would just add a bit of black paste to deepen the color.

The most vibrant color I have found is chefmaster liqua gel. It akes very littler compared to the others and I can get true red and black without letting it sit overnight. I used it for tha catsup on my hamburger cake in my photos and it set for less then an hour.
