I have a bride marrying an Eqyptian groom and they would like three pyramid cakes as the groom's cake. One will be bigger than the other two.
Anyway, how do I carve a 3D pyramid cake. I was thinking that I would make several layers of square cake and then carve the top to a point....shave the sides down??? I don't know.
How is this done? Any ideas or tips would be most helpful!
Thanks,
Brandi |

Brandi,
I made a pyramid shaped cake, thinking the same thing you are, stack a bunch of squares. So I took about 7- 12" square cakes and carved and threw away so much cake and when I was done, I said to myself, "idiot, why didn't you use smaller to larger square pans!!!" So next time, I will use 6'-7"-8"-9" and so on, throwing alot less cake away!!!
I love, love, love that pyramid cake, kiddiecakes! |
