Quick question...Love all the cookie bouquets I am seeing and I would like to do one for my daughter's birthday. I have a great soft cookie recipe that I have been using and I was wondering if anyone has made cookie bouquets with a softer cookie. I'm just not a big crispy cookie eater, otherwise I'd just use a different recipe, but I'm hoping I can use the soft one.

Thanks!!
Angie

The roll-out cookies that I use are somewhat soft. I don't like a crisp cookie, either. I bake just a tad longer and by the time I put on royal icing, it helps to support the cookie.

I have a soft cookie recipe and it comes out fine. I tend to also make my cookies thicker for the cookie stick to stick into and that also helps to make a softer cookie.

I agree with the others, they'll be fine! I always make sure I put the stick in a little further (almost 3/4) throught the diameter of the cookie too. I don't know if it really makes a difference, but I feel better about it!
