I also got a call again today saying mine are on backorder. They called me last week to tell me they were on backorder but my blenders were in. I drove 20 miles to get there, then they could not find them!!! They said it must have been some mistake! I said so with gas prices at $3.60 a gallon, who is going to pay for my gas since I drove all the way here for nothing! The girl just laughed. I said you think this is funny? Let me talk to the manager.
After speaking with the manager, I am getting 10% off of my total bill when they finally come in! She wrote it on my receipt so she would not forget! That is going to be like getting 1 mixer for free!!
I now have no problem waiting!!

My chrome baby SHOULD be in today.... My husband called last week and they said nothing about anything being back ordered. We will see I guess.
My Metallic Brushed Nuckel is due for arrival TODAY!! I also clled last week and it was "on schedule". I'd better go clear the counter so I will have a place to put it b/c once I pick it up, I know I will want to mix something.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I love living in my baking fantasy land--they know me here and the cakes are good!!
I believe in miracles but I think this one even God would need some help with-lol

Well, the other store that I ordered more at just called and left a message saying they are on backorder until the end of the year!! I am going to call them right now! This is a crock!!! I wanted these as Christmas gifts! This stinks! I was will to wait for the ones from the other store but not these!!!
I just got "THE CALL"........"Nicollete" is backordered until the end of December! The nice lady said I could pick any color in the plain series and have it shipped immediately.......Are you kidding me?........I'm here till Jesus comes, might as well be waiting on two things!
Besides at least I will get something good for Christmas this year, even if it is from me! Hey, I HAVE been a good girl!
I called Lowe's just for a laugh. The lady said it is due today, but they process the truck around 1 or 2p so call later on.
Okay, me thinks THEY are living in a fantasyland, not me!! bahahahaha
I am not sure about waiting till Christmas vs just choosing another color and getting it sooner. I think I WILL wait. If I'd wanted another color, I would have ordered it in the 1st place.
What is funny is that the associate over the phone--when I first decoded to get one--said he was checking the stores' interface to see what colors were available for that $150 price. When I said how about red or green(which is ironic since most of us won't see ours till Christmas, ie the colors!), he said all he had available was the metallic ones and that is when I got the 3 kiddos ready, myself in the car and carseats and got over to Lowe's in 15mins--the store is 10mins away, sooooo record breaking time.
I probably will get "the (backorder) call' later today. Just have to make the final decision to wait or not. I just think the nickel would look good anywhere. (except in a box in a storage warehourse--lol).
Has ANYONE gotten their metallic one? They should know how many they have when they look it up on the computer when ordering. Seriously, so many stores can tell you # they have all over the country--example, fine china at any of the registries.
Whatever! It's fun seeing how many people have viewed this thread too. Must be a record!

I got the metallic one. I had posted earlier that they said they had called me and left a message on the machine. I did not get a call. They had put the wrong number in their computer. Anyhow, she came in on the 25th of July and I finally got her on like the 2nd of August.
I used her last night. Her name is Laverne and my other one is Shirley. (lol)
But if you have one ordered, and you haven't heard from them, I would call!!!!

Hey, Messybaker, I just received the same call. At first, I received a call from one person telling me it was on backorder for a week to ten days, and that he was going to keep checking on it for me. Then, I get another phone call from another associate who just checked and said it would be Dec. before it comes in. She said she was checking on it for another customer who had ordered the same one. Uhm, wondering who that was?
Now, I don't know what to do. I actually ordered a metallic chrome one and received it. (Not the Custom Metallic series one, but the other one.) I was holding on to it until the other one comes in. I am considering canceling my order and keeping the one I have, but the bargain hunter in me wants the more expensive one.

I will NEVER have the opportunity to have the brushed nickel one again, if I don't wait it out!
I do already have a KA. My mother had it as long as I can remember and I will be 34 this month. I love "OLD YELLER" and plan to still use her too, but "NICOLLETTE" looks just like my other appliances.....including the kitchen sink and faucet!
It took alot of convincing DH that I needed two to begin with. I could never convince him I needed one that I would have to pay over $500 for!

Man, just got off the phone with the manager at Lowes. He got very snotty with me and if I was actually in the store doing this, I probably would have punched him in the nose!!!
I told him it stinks that I put it on my credit card thinking they would be in in 2 weeks. Now, they will not be in Until the end of the year. I said I am going to be paying interest on my credit card and I don't have anything to show for it!!!
He said, well ma'am this was an error but we honored it anyway. He said we did not expect people to order thousands of dollars in mixers. He said, your probably going to sell them anyway. I paused for a minute, took a deep breath in, and then told him to blow it out his ***. He then gave me the number to kitchenaid and told me to deal with them.
I then asked him for the corporate number and he huffed and puffed then gave it to me.
Time to call the corporate office!
I purchased both my kitchen aids from Kitchen Collection. They are refurbished, but have never had any problems with either. I have 3.5qt and a 6qt professional. You can get a 6qt. professtional, which is the largest and strongest they make for $249.00.

I know that everyone has been talking about the KA mixers from Lowe's for $150. I ordered one myself, but for the people that missed that one or just want a larger KA mixer, Sam's has the Kitchenaid Stainless Professional Mixer for $259. I thought that was a really great price. I actually saw the mixer in my local Sam's club this morning. I think you can order the red one online if you don't want stainless but I think the stainless is the only color in stores. Well, I hope this helps. If my copper KA mixer doesn't come in, I may be purchasing one of these big mixers myself Laughing
What's REALLY funny is that a BUNCH of Lowe's people are the ones who are probably buying a ton of the mixers and reselling them on ebay, NOT US!!! Your guy should be pointing the finger somewhere else--maybe at himself. Maybe HE has a guilty conscious!
I saw the one at Sam's and I sat there and bowed down to it chanting, "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!!"--lol It is mighty nice looking, although I'd rather have the tilt head. Something i am used to, I guess!
