What's REALLY funny is that a BUNCH of Lowe's people are the ones who are probably buying a ton of the mixers and reselling them on ebay, NOT US!!! Your guy should be pointing the finger somewhere else--maybe at himself. Maybe HE has a guilty conscious!
I saw the one at Sam's and I sat there and bowed down to it chanting, "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!!"--lol It is mighty nice looking, although I'd rather have the tilt head. Something i am used to, I guess!

I am sure he got one for his wife, mother, sister, cousin, cousins cousin and so on!
But, the nerve of him to say that to me!!
I did put in a call the the corp office, someone will be getting back to me within 24 hrs. Lets see what happens!
Well, the ones who are ebaying a ton of them have a special place somewhere. I will tell you though, karma will come and get them. I am not saying this about people who bought some for their family, but for those who literally have no clue what a kitchen aid is but buys 10-20 to make a profit on something that was obviously a one-time deal or a misprint. It is NOT all "just business"--it is wrong, when you darn well know what they are worth, buy a ton and then jack upt he price. And then probably, since their morals are a bit warped, probably are not nice sellers and will stick it to someone who just wants to bake.

I picked up my mixers last Saturday. I got empire red...love it. It goes with my american decor. I also picked up the chrome one I ordered for my mom. I sure hope you guys get yours before Christmas.

Hey guys, if you haven't heard from them I would call. They didn't call me. I got tired of waiting and something told me to just call. I picked it up yesterday and used it a minute ago. I have a Professional 5 that I bought from the lady here and the new Artisian Pinky. Still trying to adjust the Pinky to the right height but don't mind the fact that the Professional 5 doesn't tilt. Oh yeah, when I went to get it, the guy was like, "Oh that was a great price on it wasn't it". Hmmmmmmm, I'm wondering, what does this young guy know about a KA mixer and what it's worth.
'CAUSE HE'S PROBABLY SELLING 'EM OUT THE BACK DOOR.... I'm just joking. But it does make ya wonder huh?

i have called every day to check to see if my mixer was in..the asst manager told me he was suppost to go on mon or tues of this week to get me one from another store...but i called yesterday and he was supposedly on vacation..i call today and i spoke w/him and he said he had been out sick..dunno which is true..but i still havent gotten one..he said he would call tomorrow to see about getting one..i said something about him making arrangements for me to pick it up and he said that he couldnt do that that he would have to get one of his employees to go get it..doesnt make since ...he even tried giving me a refund and i told him no..i want my friggin mixer..maybe bugging them will get my mixer..lmao..aint like they dont have the mixers in stock

Actually from the looks of this thread you have been bugging them from the start. Doesn't look like it's working too well.

A few years ago, before I became a SAHM, I was the Kitchenaid rep, and Lowes was one of the stores that I called on. I'll tell you why they couldn't give a crap about our precious mixers! Small appliances are nothing to them...they are a nucience. Lowes appliance dept employees make a regular salary, but on the large appliances (washers, dryers, etc) they make a certain $ amount. The more $ an appliance cost, the bigger "spiff" they get. Or if it's a model that the manufactuer is trying to move, there also might be a big "spiff" on it. On our mixers, there is nothing. So when we are calling, calling, calling...they feel that we are wasting their time, and taking time away from their "real" customers who are spending thousands of $$ and making them money. That doesn't take away the fact that they are customer service and should be customer friendly, but chances are that you are the 10th person that day that has yelled, screamed, fought with them over something that they really have no control over. But hey, it's retail...if they don't like it and can't be nice, they should get out of the business...like I did!

I'm so sorry that you're having difficulties with Lowe's... they're not all that bad... the people in the store I went to were really friendly and helpful!

Welp I called and mine is back ordered too. Oh well like someone else said it will be a great Christmas present.
I don't want to down the employees at Lowe's though. They have always been very helpful and friendly to me. I will still go there.

I have usually preferred The Home Depot over Lowe's, don't ask me why because I don't know, but because of the great treatment I have received at two different Lowe's concerning the mixers, I will probably consider Lowe's first from now on. And, that is with the possibility of canceling my custom metallic order. The associates have been nothing but polite. We will probably need a new washing machine soon, so off to Lowe's I will go.

Well, I got the call from Lowes. I had ordered the brushed nickel and the man said it was back-ordered and would be 6 months. That will be mid-Feb. I told him I was in no hurry that I would wait. It was kinda like he was waiting for me to say I would come get a refund but he was very pleasant and I was too! I still use my old harvest gold that is 33 years old and has no problems!
Some of you may want to check with lowes. I waited for mine. They said that they would call when it was in. I was by their store and stopped in to see if by chance it had gotten in yet. They said that they had called and left a message on my answering machine. It had been in for a week.
Come to find out they had typed in the wrong phone number. Poor Laverne sat at the store a whole week thinking no one loved her!!!!!!! lol
So you might want to check and be sure that they have your number correct also.

The same thing happened to me! My sweet Lola sat in that store for over a week because they didn't have my number to call and tell me that she came in early! Poor Lola....she's adjusting well now though....on the counter right next to Bruno (my Pro 600).
