I'm making a robot cake this satuday (2 days) I would like to know if anyone knows how to make the fondant look metal. I'm using luster dust and vodka to paint the arms and legs to make it appear chrome, but I'm looking to make the body look like a shiny new paint job, not pearlized like with the luster dust. How do I make it look like a fresh paint job on a new car?

Could you try painting over it with piping gel. It is used to make water look shiney (is that a word). Maybe someone else has another idea.
