So I made a triple batch of buttercream and put in 3 TABLEspoons of vanilla as opposed to 3 teaspoons. Then I decided I would make another triple batch with no vanilla, and mix it all together and all would be well. Once I had all 6 batches of buttercream in there I realized I might have overdone it...but it churned baby! Yes, there IS a benefit to owning the over-the-top 6 qt professional grade kitchenaid |

OK so there are 2 things I'm jealous of here:
1) your 6qt KA (I have GOT to get me one of those)
2) your clean kitchen. Just how do you do that exactly? |

all4cake<<<<<<<<<<< ENVIOUS!
I am only able to put 4 pounds per mixer. I have 2 of the smaller KAs. Gosh, it would be super to be able to put 6, 8, 10, 50 pounds per mixer! |

I have that mixer, and I've made quite a bit of buttercream already! I LOVE it! Got it as a wedding present less than two months ago, but have already put it through it's paces with buttercream, whipped cream, doughnut dough, and a double-batch of NFSC dough. Whoot! Greatest mixer EVER for the home kitchen!!!!! |

I didn't know it could do that, boy I can save a lot of time now. I have only been making one batch at a time in my KA. Thanks for the info and pics. |

My max is 3 batches in my 5qt KA. I LOVE my KA!!! It still churns away. I usually only do 2 batches at a time because I don't want to kill my motor.
I'm also jealous of the clean kitchen! |

Hey, that's the same mixer I have (she is named Pearl). Love her to death!!
I've never tried a double batch of NFSC. I'm too scared!
Okay, what container do you have that will store that much BC? |

I have a 5 qt. bowl lift and my one batch uses 4# of powdered sugar and is full to the top like yours. I hate making icing, so I fill up that baby! |

Michelle...I have a 6qt KA, and tried to make a double batch of the no-fails, and they failed me! The only time ever that they didn't work! I actually had to knead it by hand some because it was too much for the mixer! I have no idea how anyone could get a double batch of no fails in a 6qt mixer! I would love to know how they did it! |
