Creme Bouquet is a really yummy flavor. When youre making a batch of buttercream, say it calls for 1 teaspoon of flavoring. Use 3/4 teaspoon creme bouquet and the other 1/4 valencia flavoring. Gives it an extremely yummy flavor without being too overpowering. Everyone who's tried it LOVES it. Learned this recipe from my WMI - worth the class all together. |

I just did the *original* WASC and used creme boquet. This is the first time that I have ever used it, and it was a big hit.

SMBC is my favorite!! I almost cry when customers ask for crusting buttercream. It's not as easy for me to work with as the SMBC. |

Ohhhhh, a recipe. I've been dying to try either it or wedding bouquet for a year now but can't justify the shipping prices for it (I have yet to find it in any cake store). This I can definitely afford!
Thanks for posting it. |

1 T. lemon extract (I believe she used lemon juice but I tried lemon extract)
1 t. vanilla extract
1 t. almond extract
1 t. butter flavoring
The recipe smells pretty much the same as the cream bouquet I bought. But, I haven't tried the homemade recipe out in any bc yet. |
Is it a teaspoon of each flavoring or 1 tablespoon of lemon and 1 tsp of each of the rest? Just wanted to be sure. TIA! |

I was going to mix up this recipe but got started thinking (we all know how deadly that is ) if I could sub orange blossom for the lemon? Any ideas? I've never used it before but have been dying for an excuse. |

Okay, here's a reason for you to try that..
I've really been wanting a creme bouquet-type flavoring, but with a hint of orange...has anybody ever tried that? If so, I'd REALLY like an opinion!
TIA,
Kathy |

I've decided to do just that! I will mix something up and bake it by next week so I'll definitely let you know how it turns out. |

OK aswartzw and kjt!
I used orange in mine with a little lemon since I was making chocolate cupcakes and orange tastes good with chocolate and it came out really well! Everyone loved it!!!! |

Did you make a batch of home made creme bouquet, or add orange to store bought?
Thanks for the report! |

Thanks for trying it. I'm going to make a trial cake with it since I've never used these flavorings before to see how I like it. Can't wait for the end result! |

Did you use creme bouquet instead of the vanilla and almond? Or as an additional flavor?? If so, how much for the additional?
I just got my creme bouquet and Princess Cake & Cookie emulsion order yesterday and I'm dying to try both of them.

From what I've read elsewhere, the majority of people will do a combination of flavors to keep the citrus from overpowering the cake. For the WASC, some people will do 1 t. vanilla, 1 t. almond, and the remainder with creme bouquet. Or some will do 2 t. vanilla, 2 t. creme bouquet. |
