Hi Everyone
I was wondering what you thought or know.....is it easier to do a 3D graduation cap with the wonder mold pan or the half ball pan? I've only every used the wonder mold but hate it because it takes forever to bake and I have to trim the outside because its always hard even with using the heating coil. I noticed that some people use the half of the ball pan in the gallery. Which do you think looks better for a grad cap and is easy to work with?
Thanks

I use the half ball quite often, however the Wondermold looks good too. You don't have to fill it all the way for a grad cap, so you shouldn't have the baking problems. |

I haven't used the ball pan for that, but I am planning on using it to make a graduation cap this friday. I'm hoping that it will work fine. |

I'm making one for a graduation this Saturday and I am using the half ball pan. |

I've made a grad cake with the ball pan before. It's pretty easy to use. |

Just an alternative idea, but I use a 4" round pan that is 3" tall and just carve the sides. The proportion of it looks great when you have to put one on a 6" round. Here is an example: |

I did a half ball pan on top of a six inch round, and I think it turned out well, it's in my photos. |
