I have a bridal shower in which they want 200 mini (two bite size) cupcakes frosted and each with a small edible image of either a movie reel or one of those black and white striped movie boards on white chocolate plaques.
Any idea of what you would charge for each?

I was thinking 1.75 per cupcake. Is this too much?

I think I would charge $2.25 or $2.50 for a regular size version of this.

Do you think it is too much?

IMHO I think you should charge half of your reg price. (but that's just me)

I charge $10 per dozen. I just baked 2000 for Thurs and Friday delivery for a university graduation reception on both days.

I just got an order for 140 mini cupcakes for a bridal shower that is doing only finger foods. I charged $7/dozen. But these are just frosted. Nothing extra added. I think I would charge $1.25 - $1.50/cupcake for the extra detail. I guess it also depends on where you live.

I would normally only charge .75 per mini for a plain frosted one but because I will have to hand carve each movie reel or movie board for the top of each one, that is what is going to take up the most time, I thought that would be worth more than just a quarter for my time. The edible image, the white chocolate would eat up that cost.

Thanks for your input!

I would say for the detail work, that the cost isn't out of line. You may want to break down the costs for your customer so they don't have sticker shock - 75 cents per mini plain frosted, additional 75 cents per custom chocolate piece to top them with.
