I do agree that a stickey that stays in the forum topics list on the homepage would be great. The title "Duplicate Photos Will Be Removed" or something like it should help ensure more people get the info.
You're doing a great job with this!  Thanks so much for all your hard work!

I think this is a good idea and have asked if we can do this. In the meantime, it would be a good idea I think for everyone to check their photos and clean them up themselves.
I will say again, that if you have one that you can't remove because of favorites, post it here or PM me and I can remove it for you. |

If KathysCC isn't on, I'm almost always on Monday through Thursday nights, and every other weekend, around midnight till around 5-6 am..... I will be glad to do so..
Just remember, it seems that no moderator is online but most of the time someone is here.... |

So I had this dream last night that I posted 2 pictures of one of my recent cakes... the whole cake and a close up of the edible broaches I made. And I got all these pms about what a jerk I was for posted 2 pics of the same cake with all the dup pic controversy! lol! I should really not read these threads right before bed. |

along with the system clean up, has this affected the comments as well? I received notification of comments posted, but they are no where to be found. Under the photo there is nothing but ads?? any info? |

Starlah you probably have your comments turned off. Occasionally they get deactivated, I've seen similar confused posts, I don't know why it happens and it's rare but at least it's an easy fix.
Just go to Edit Your Profile (click on the My Forum Info words in the pink box on the left side of the page, under the scripty header that says "My Account") and scroll down to the Preferences box. The fourth item is "Allow other members to post comments on my photos:" --be sure to mark that Yes.  |

Ok...I feel stupid now  I learned what the problem was on my "comments" so I fixed it! I am so new at this, but let me say thank you to everyone who does leave comments. They are SO much appreciated. I just want to get better!!! |

Malishka, it can take up to 30 minutes for cakes to show up on the home page. There is also a delay in them showing up on the recent uploads, as well as my photos. Keep checking, it'll be there.
Hopefully this post will grab the attention of some who may not be aware of the 1 photo limit. Just today there were 8 photos of the same cake (each a different view) uploaded to the galleries. I'm not always one to read the "fine print" myself, so the idea of the cow chasing people around is too funny! |

chovest thanks for the reply. I uploaded it about 3 hours ago and they are in my photos box, but not on the home page. I uploeaded 3 different pictures, 2 of them were of the same cake. now i know to delet one, but i have a hard time choosing one.
i keep on checking the home page and they are still not there.
i also don't know how to post so my question will show up on the top of the home page. i'm fairly new and an idiot when it comes to computers. |

The most recently replied to forum topics at the time the front page reloads show up (other than the "sticky" topics that are always up there.) The photo makes it to the front page (recently uploaded photos) within 5-10 minutes usually. (Sometimes quicker, sometimes slower.) When I upload one I keep refreshing the home page (F5) until I see my cake.  Weird, I know, I just like to see it there. |
