Every day for the last few days, my anti-virus software is picking up a virus from this site.
It's called "thelavendercakes_co_uk
Is anyone else having this problem?? |

No, but a couple of weeks ago, someone mentioned that her husband had to take down and redo her computer, because she picked up a Trojan from this site.
I had my pros go through my hard-drive and software right after she said that, and they couldn't find anything but too many processes running at one time.
Since you are very concerned about this, I would first check with my server tech support to see if they are aware of this.

Every now and then I get a popup message from my antivirus program that warns of a dangerous site when I'm on here, but I think it's one of the ads on the side. I don't know which one it is, but there's something going on with one of them that triggers it. |

costumeczar -
You may be right about that, because I don't remember ever hearing about these problems until the ads appeared.
I know that the ads help defray the cost of running CC, so I don't have any quarrel about them being on the pages.

I also get a message from Norton saying that CC is a "phishing" site, but I just ignore it. No viruses... |

I use norton anti-virus.
would agree probably a function of one of the ads....
as ... I never get it
why?
because I have both Ad blocking and Pop-up Blocking turned on.
Ads on CC? What Ads? never see them, co they can't hurt the system w/ bad buggies.
if you can, turn on Ad Blocking and pop-up blocking.
saves a world of trouble. |

I too have dangerous threats to my computer now. Unfortunately, I have to buy more Norton antivirus ware because it says that what we have can not help it. |

I have AVG (www.grisoft.com) which was free and it outperforms anything I have ever had (it catches every trojan that has tried to get onto my computer plus any virus ... plus I have Ad-Aware and Spybot and they destroy the ads and their invasions... never had a problem from this site. That site belongs to one of our members, Bashini - I highly doubt that is the source of any problem, but it might be worth pm-ing her about it? |

Norton can give FREQUENT problems and I know was more of a hazard than a help when we had it. We used McAfee for awhile until AVG. It's a lot nicer - and FREE is ALWAYS NICE! |

I kept getting a pop up message last week. When did CC start having pop ups? |

I am a computer tech for our school district. We switched over the AVG years ago. It's a wonderful anti virus program.
I have links to many free utilities on one of my resource pages. I recommend them all! Scroll down for the links to the free utilities:
