I just made red velvet cake yesterday. It's my 1st time trying to make red velvet cake. According to the recipe, I need to add 2 tbsp liquid red coloring. I only had 1/2 tbsp liquid coloring so I added 1 tbsp paste coloring for the total 1 1/2 tbsp (1/2 tbsp less). The cake was delicious but the color that make me scared. It's very red, stain your teeth and tonge also on the plate and spoon. I just wondering if I put too much coloring in it. Is it safe???? Please advise.

The (concentrated) paste coloring is what's staining your teeth, etc.
