BellaSweet.....I'm ready for your recipe. I have a key lime recipe but it is more like cheesecake.
The best pie I ever ate was a berry pie with a cream cheese layer. I have never been able to find the recipe, if anyone has it. I ate it at Bakers Square about 15 years ago. |
Yes it was. I've tried it a few times since. Not an appreciable difference. If you have a great crust your happy with stick with it.

I've got a recipe for Brown Bag Apple Pie that my neighbor gave me. I've never made it myself but it was very good. It looks a little different than the pie your talking about, her pie has a crumb topping. However, I think all you need to do is wet the outside of a large brown paper bag. Put the pie inside, staple the end shut and then cook it. She cooked her pie at 350 for 1-1/2 hours. The bag didn't burn at all. I think you can use about any apple pie recipe then just cook it inside the bag. You could give it a try. |

One clue why pies are mentioned often, the name of the site is CAKE Central.
Maybe somewhere there is a PIE Central. |

I have discovered the joy of pie making in the past couple of years, even had a few people order. But I have a confession to make-
I am afraid of pie crust. I use the frozen/refrigerated kind.
Can anyone make me an honest woman and help me make a respectable crust?
