pinkbox - these particular papers just perform really well, not sure why! I have used others that absorbed moisture, which darkened them so that the designs practically disappeared. |

I have rice paper but have never used it. Can I print leaves on it with a editable ink printer

What you probably have is wafer paper. And, yes you use the edible inks to print leaves, butterflies, messages, etc on it. |

Molly-I'm from NJ, but the dislike of NCLB is everywhere. My SIL works in a hospital associated special education school. The kids are impaired in a way that their needs can not be met in public school. They always taught them life skills-now they have to focus on academics, The kids are not getting what they need, like learning to ride a city bus, or take care of themselves so they can move into a more independent life.
The pumpkin with the little baby sounds soo cute. It reminds me of one of my favorite photos One of my friends infant sitting inside a hollowed out pumpkin with just her little head and arms out. it was their birth announcement for her birth. Good luck with the cake. |

Hi everybody, Its 12:54 a.m. here in Egg Harbor City, NJ and its cold. (at least it is for me) I am up making the bases for the lilies for my moms birthday cake. Her birthday is tomorrow but were celebrating it on sunday. So far they are going ok. I watched Ednas U tube tutorial and I figured that Ill give it a try. (She made them look so easy...). Im gonna finish up here and get to bed. I have a doctors appointmet in the morning and wont be able to sleep in.... (at least what I call slepping in. I usually get up at 6 am but on weekends i sleep in until 8.....
Take it easy everyone.

Hey diamonds, what about some of the silver flames around the cake above the chain?? that might give the bottom of your design something, right now i think all your eye travels to in the fist at the top, i think you need something to balance out the bottom????? |

They are actually the Wilton Snappy Stripes papers seen here.
If you click on the photo, it will bring you to the web page.

Mostly finished, but I think I'm gonna partially take apart a cake I'm not happy with and redo a part. |

I just finished making 106 "cast" cookies for my son's play, which will be opening tomorrow. The cookies are in the shape of a foot in a cast.
I guess you could say it is a bad pun--cast cookies for the cast members, along with the whole theme of Break a Leg. (Also, one of the main characters breaks her ankle during the play.)
It's not a cake, but can I join the club, too? |
