Hi girls,
I'm doing a retirement cake for someone who is retiring to live by the shore. Any ideas for a beach themed retirement cake? Thanks!

HI,
just a thought, you could make a little beach scene with the water front and have a man sitting in a beach chair with a drink in his hands. Kind of 3-D effect made out of icing/fondant (which ever you choose) and make like a little beach sign that says Retire at your Own Risk with a list of rules like 1. No working
2. No business calls
Hope that helps! |

If you look in my pictures, I made a cake similar to the one in the Wilton Yearbook that is a beach with an umbrella on it. Maybe something like that. |

I just uploaded a flip flop cake I made for a friend. It's a beach theme. |

I did a retirement cake like the one you are describing. This was for a guy who was moving to california..I had half a beach and half an ocean with the guy on shore sitting in a hammock.. |

For some reason, I think of the pretty seashells I've seen here on some cakes pictures .. with some sand, made from cookies of course |
