I immediately think pink and black poodle for some reason. LOL

But I pulled up these on ebay.. I thought it was a cake until I clicked on it and saw it was nesting boxes... would make a great cake i think.

Can't copy the pic.. so here is the link..

wilton 2006 has a two tier cake that is black and pink.

top tier is pink with black swirls.
bottom tier is black (you can use choc. frosting and add black or made brown
then add black - let sit for a day or two so the black will
deepen color)

I believe the top tier had a black bow (you can use choc. fondant and color black) wrapped around the bottom of the cake and the ribbon hung down a little. you can go with something like. Make the number 6 out of fondant and that can the for the top of cake or write her name if not long out of royal icing using a number 8 or 10 - put this on the top tier. Now this will take a day or two to dry and make a few to allow for breakage.

Have you seen the pink poodles party decorations on BirthdayExpress.com? They are really cute and include the eiffel tower. Might give you some ideas...

I'm picturing a two or three layer whimsical cake in pink and black with and Eiffel tower on top and curly-Q style fondant letters of her name or happy birthday standing up on the middle layer. Then get one of those pink feather boas (walmart, kids toy dept., $1.99) and wrap that around the bottom. Just athought!

Me again,
I just remembered that my neighbor did pink and black for her little girl, I'll ask her if she has a picture. I think it was 3 - 6inch cakes (each being 2 layer) and they stacked it sort of like baby blocks are stacked. It didn't resemble baby blocks though. I will see if she has a picture of it and I'll post it!
