What is the absolute best and most professional way to get a 3D ball covered in fondant with no wrinkles and minimal seaming? Not just the Wilton ball, but any, large or small. Especially with colored fondant...I know you can seam with royal icing (like spackle it in and smooth) but like for colored fondant....?

Cover a half at a time and then used colored royal for seaming?
