I recently purchased Sugarshack's DVD on Stacking. I have a few questions regarding the bubble tea straws?
1. Has anyone tried this method of Sugarshack's yet? I'm dying too.
2. Does anyone know the size to order?
3. Where can I order some of these bubble tea straws?
Thanks. Can't wait to try it. Love all of her videos. |

What is the difference between a bubble tea straw and the colored ones for kids you get at shaws? |

I have this DVD and I love it!!
1. I've tried it and it's great. Cake didn't move. I was scared to put the dowel through, but it went through easily.
2. I figure you would get the bigger size; not sure because I bought the ones I have from an Asian store.
3. I bought my bubble tea straws from an Asian store here for about .79 per bag of 50. Try googling some Asian stores in your area. That's what I did and found one close to my house, I had been passing it every day taking my kids to school.

I use them and I love them. They are strong and wider than any other straws I've seen. I buy mine on ebay, but the Asian store idea sounds better. |

I got my bubble tea straws from Lollicup.com but it doesn't look like they offer the straws anymore...but if you google 'bubble tea straws' you'll find a couple of suppliers! Here one who's prices aren't bad: http://www.bubbleteasupply.com.....item_id=2.

Bubble tea straws are the best! I buy mine from an Asian grocery store but they can easily be purchased from ebay. |

I don't have the dvd...but I do have the straws and they are fabulous.
It is a little scary at first, but I have never had a problem. The biggest I have used them on was a 3 tier wedding cake 10...8...6 stacked.
I to get them on e-bay. |

I am very unfamiliar with the straw method. Are they used instead of dowels? Has anyone used them on heavy larger cakes?
TIA! Liz |
