Basketballs are a darker orange so I would first mix in all the orange I needed then add teeny amounts of either brown or ivory until it's the right color orange.

I just did a basketball cake that was the exact color of a basketball and I used Wilton Orange, with touches of ivory and brown, just as kimmypooh suggested. It's in my pics....
